385 Pleasant Street
Watertown, MA
Amstel Heritage Watertown, LLC retained McKenzie Engineering Group, Inc. (MEG) in collaboration with Embarc Architects to coordinate the civil/site design to permit the redevelopment of 1.81 acres of land at 385 Pleasant Street in Watertown, Massachusetts. The redevelopment project involves constructing a 5-story 12-unit residential complex, two 3-story independent residential townhouses, the redevelopment of an existing brick warehouse into 16 residential units with commercial space, and asphalt parking/access roadways, stormwater management systems, utilities, site grading, and landscaping. The drainage design involves an extensive subsurface stormwater management system that attenuates peak rates of runoff to comply with the DEP’s Stormwater Management Policy and provide for the treatment and removal of nitrogen and phosphorus per Watertown Department of Public Works Stormwater Management Rules and Regulations. The project required approval from the Watertown Planning Board and a special permit and site plan approval by the Zoning Board of Appeals.
