Project Overview
In the fast food industry, Burger King Corporation is one of the largest franchises in the world. With sales exceeding $11-billion annually in its 11,000 restaurants, having the flexibility to construct new establishments in key locations plays a large factor in its success. Innovative design techniques made it possible for McKenzie Engineering Group, Inc. to design and obtain all required permits for this 2,537 square foot restaurant with drive-thru and parking facilities on a 1.2 acre site on Route 1 in Saugus, Massachusetts. MEG was responsible for the preparation of all civil/site plans and construction documents and obtaining all required local and state permits and provided construction phase administration and inspection services.
