Randolph Intergenerational Community Center
Randolph, Massachusetts
McKenzie Engineering Group, Inc. (MEG) was responsible for all aspects of civil/site design and permitting for this approx. 36,000 s.f. community center located at Pleasant Street and Carlino Way in Randolph, Massachusetts. The development involves the construction of the community center with recreation facilities, parking areas compliant with Mass. AAB Regulations, sustainable stormwater management facilities and associated infrastructure. MEG prepared the permit and construction phase civil documents and obtained permits from local agencies. The project included the design of an elaborate stormwater management system comprised of bioretention cells, raingardens and subsurface infiltration systems to comply with the Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Stormwater Management Regulations to renovate the runoff and to mitigate peak rates of runoff. MEG will provide construction administration services in the Spring of 2016 to ensure that the project is constructed in conformity with the control documents.
