Project Overview
McKenzie Engineering Group, Inc. (MEG) was retained by Sullivan Bros. Toyota to coordinate all aspects of civil/site design and permitting for this approximate 37,000 square ft. (g.f.a) automobile dealership located on approximately 6.5 acres of land on Cranberry and Galen Roads in Kingston, Massachusetts. The redevelopment project will involve the demolition of three existing buildings to accommodate the construction of the dealership and the design of parking areas, reconfiguration of curb cuts, landscaping, utility connections a wastewater treatment system and stormwater management measures. The design involves an extensive series of subsurface stormwater management systems and low impact sustainable stormwater management features to renovate and attenuate peaks rates of runoff in order to fully comply with the DEP’s Stormwater Management Policy and Town of Kingston standards. The project will require a special permit and site plan approval by the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals, an Order of Conditions from the Conservation Commission and the preparation of a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) through EPA’s National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Program.
