Oakgrove Residential, Inc retained McKenzie Engineering Group, Inc. (MEG) to coordinate the civil/site design to permit a five-story plus one basement-level parking building located at 420 Harvard Street in Brookline, Massachusetts. The redevelopment project involves the razing of an existing structure, constructing a 23 unit residential building with approximately 41,690 square feet (GSF), the design of a roof-top courtyard, access drive, stormwater management system, utilities, and landscaping. The proposed drainage system included a subsurface stormwater management system to attenuate peak runoff rates generated by all storm events and provide for the on-site retention of the volume generated from a 25-year storm event to comply with Town of Brookline regulations. The stormwater management design is in full compliance with the DEP Stormwater Management Regulations for a redevelopment project.
