MEG was retained by the town of Braintree to coordinate the design and reconstruction of roadways and parking areas for Braintree High School. MEG was responsible for all aspects of the project, from preparation of feasibility studies, existing conditions plans, civil design plans and construction documents, coordination of testing services and final as-built plans. The project involved the full-depth reconstruction of approximately 1,500 linear ft. of access roadway and associated parking areas and sidewalks. The design included a modification of existing grades and stormwater structures which resulted in significant improvements from a drainage perspective. The stormwater management system was also upgraded to employ “low impact” stormwater management techniques such as bioswales which serve to renovate and mitigate stormwater runoff from impervious surfaces. MEG also provided construction administration services for the project to ensure that the final product is consistent with value engineered design.
