Oakley Country Club

Watertown, MA

Project Overview

MEG was retained by The Oakley Country Club to design miscellaneous drainage improvements to their golf course located off Common Street in Watertown, Massachusetts.  The designs consisted of the implementation of low-impact development (LID) drainage elements consisting of subsurface infiltration systems, raingardens and biofiltration swales to mitigate peak rates of runoff and volumes to reduce onsite and offsite flooding.  MEG worked closely with the Watertown Department of Public Works to design a system that would alleviate drainage problems on Common Street that were caused by runoff from the golf course’s large watershed that is tributary to municipal roadways.  MEG provided construction phase administration services as well to ensure consistency with the construction drawings.
