MEG designed and permitted this development for Pulte Homes which consisted of 53 townhouse style residential units on a 10 acres of land on Turnpike Street (Route 138) in Canton, Massachusetts. The project was permitted under the Town’s Village Planned Overlay District Development (VHODD) and was designed in compliance with the Village Housing Overlay District regulations and applicable state and federal regulations. The project involved the design of approximately 3,000 linear feet of bituminous roadway, stormwater management system, upgrades to the municipal water system and a sewer lift station. The stormwater management system included an array of subsurface infiltration systems and sustainable drainage features that provided renovation and attenuation to runoff generated by the development. This value engineered low-impact drainage system was designed to comport to the undulating terrain and landscape while being much more economical to construct than a conventional closed drainage system.
